Currently we have 55 senior members and 12 junior
members. In 2008, these members volunteered 22,402
man-hours to run 1890 emergency calls. This does
not include hours spent training or performing the
day-to-day duties of the organization. Our
members are certified in the following areas: one is
a First Responder, 36 are basic EMT's (Emergency
Medical Technician), 5 are EMT Enhanced Technicians,
2 are EMT Intermediate Technicians, and 3 are
Nationally Registered EMT Paramedics, 5 are driver
only members. As of this date there are eight new
members in an EMT class. We also have 2 EMT
Instructors and 5 CPR Instructors, one Vehicle
Extrication Instructor, and one EVOC instructor
amongst our membership.

While our main focus is on the care and
transport of the suddenly ill or injured patient, we
are also aware that sometimes people need to be
removed from situations or predicaments. Therefore,
we have members certified in Vehicle Extrication,
Vertical Rescue, Basic and Light Duty Rescue, and
Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR). Our members
come from all walks of life. Some of our current
members are retired, homemakers, teachers, nurses,
electronic technicians, plumbers, dispatchers,
auctioneers, child care providers, electricians,
small business owners, students, managers,
professional paramedics, factory workers, store
clerks, the list can go on and on.
Practically anyone can join our rescue squad
and become a volunteer. The pay is non-existent but
the rewards can be great. We have needs for all
interests. You do not have to run emergency calls
to help us.
